California added jobs faster than the rest of the nation over the past year.

Over the past few years I read a lot of comparisons between Texas and California, most based on the idea that California was doomed and government-light Texas was booming because of its policies. So does this mean that California’s policies are now the ones we should all be following?

Or perhaps just looking at the number of jobs added isn’t the most appropriate metric when setting state policy.
